Karin Sunflowers and City Hall

The Duluth Pottery is operated by Karin Kraemer. Karin makes functional and decorative Maiolica pots and tiles, as well as wood-firing whenever she can.

The Duluth Pottery is part of the North End Arts Complex, in Superior Wisconsin, at Hammond and Broadway.

The Old Superior Trade and Commerce building, built in 1885, housed the Superior City Hall until the late 1960’s. It now is the location of creative small businesses and artists.

The Red Mug Espresso coffeehouse is the center of music, food and art events. Karin Kraemer, Dan Edmunds, Richard Gruchalla and Karen Rosetti and Erika Mock are just some of the professional artists that work in this big old brownstone. Eight kilns are used for firing in Maiolica, stoneware, Salt and Soda firing, and Raku. Artists show their work in the Red Mug, and in the new North End Arts Gallery, upstairs.
