PT Clinic Celebrates 10th Anniversary
LSC’s Physical Therapy Clinic celebrated its 10th anniversary of providing accessible physical therapy services for community members. The Physical Therapy Clinic partners with the College of St. Scholastica to provide a full range of physical therapy services for people without health insurance or for whom health insurance benefits have run out. LSC physical therapist assistant students work in tandem with physical therapist students from the College of S
t. Scholastica under the supervision of faculty. The clinic recently acquired new Wii Fit software that patients can use for a variety of physical therapy exercises. Robert Sullivan of Solon Springs has been coming to the clinic for the last six years. (Faculty member Brenda Martin was his former PTA at a nursing home.) Phil Petrowitz, Sam Swenson, and Lizzy Petrowitz watch Sullivan try out the new Wii Fit software as he works to strengthen his core muscles.
