“Where’s Bob?” Ride for Scholarships Raises nearly $1,500

Ever since former MnSCU trustee Bob Erickson, AKA “Biking Bob”, ended his annual “Ride for Part-Time Student Scholarships” nearly two years ago, LSC faculty member Steve Dalager has organized his own “Where’s Bob?” Ride for Scholarships.
This year’s Ride was held during a two-hour block of time during LSC’s Student Success Day. Dalager and his fellow bikers raised nearly $1,500.
Eight bikers participated in the 11-mile journey. Participating were Shannon Flaherty, Derek Baker, Robert Brantley, Chandra Shoberg, Eric Eriven, Adrienne Dineen, Cliff Koski and Steve Dalager.
“Two of our more experienced cyclists finished the route in 35 minutes,” said Dalager. “The rest of us finished in about an hour. The weather was cool, but pleasant, and the countryside was lovely. And it was for a great cause.”
