Got teenagers who are already bored with summer vacation? Sign ‘em up for summer workshops at Lake Superior College.

A robot camp will take place on July 20-24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It includes team-building a robot and exploring area manufacturing through field trips. The cost is free but class size is limited. This camp is for 7th through 12th graders.

Three one-day workshops for teenagers are also available. “Creating Web Pages” will teach how to build a website from scratch, including graphics and animation. Cost is $15, includes lunch and t-shirt. Date/time: Monday, August 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for 7th to 12th graders.

The “Build a PC” workshop will show participants how to build a PC from the ground up with an operating system. Students will learn computer components and how to troubleshoot problems. The cost is $15, and includes lunch and t-shirt. Date/time: Tues., August 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for 7th through 12th graders.

The “Fun with Robots” workshop will explore computer programming using LEGO™ Mindstorms NXT robots. Participants will create a robot to move, act and sense its environment. Cost is $15, includes lunch and t-shirt. Date/time: Wed., August 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for 7th through 12th graders.
