Check out the latest Green 101 event with the May 30 Worm Composting Workshop. Experts will work with you to construct a home worm bin for indoor composting. Also, learn how to use worms to compost, basic care and feeding of your worms, and how to harvest your “black gold” produced by the worms.

The $15 fee will cover the bin, screening, and starter kit. You take the bin home and let your little friends recycle your kitchen scraps.

Hornstein has been an LSC biology faculty member for 25 years. For the past 12 years she has worked with the vermicomposting greenhouse at LSC, composting kitchen scraps and coffee grounds.
