LSC Students Provide Flood Relief
A group of 20 Lake Superior College Fire/Rescue students are on their way to the Fargo/Moorhead area to assist local authorities with the flooding crisis in western Minnesota. The group, along with two Instructors, left the LSC Emergency Response Training Center at noon today. They will be assigned to the Moorhead Fire Department and will be attached to their Rapid Deployment Teams. These teams are equipped with a dump truck, a small loader and a chase vehicle and can be deployed to respond rapidly to breeches in the dikes.
The students are expected to return on Sunday or Monday night.
