Effective July 1, 2008, Minnesota began requiring licensure for physical therapist assistants.  Prior to the change, the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) was not required in Minnesota, and, because of that, very few graduates of LSC’s PTA program took the exam.  The PTA class of 2008 was the first class required to take the NPTE and 18 of 18 graduates of the program passed the exam on the first try.  The program’s 100 percent pass rate far exceeds the national average of 75 percent.

Congratulations to students and faculty on their performance!
