Murphy Refinery Donates Fire Truck
The Murphy Oil Refinery of Superior, Wisconsin has donated a fire truck to Lake Superior College’s Emergency Response Training Center (ERTC).
According to Dave Sarazin, ERTC Director, the 1973 Ford/American C900 Foam Truck is a specialized design for refinery/industrial use. It will be used for a variety of fire program classes, but is especially suited for industrial fire control and aircraft rescue and fire fighting. The vehicle has very low mileage and should be a serviceable addition to our programs.
“When Murphy replaced this truck with a newer model, they decided to donate the vehicle to our program,” Sarazin explained. “Murphy employees have done a lot of training here, so they knew that we’ll put it to good use.”
