Open House Draws a Crowd
A crowd of nearly 400 Fall Open House attendees moved one step closer to carving out their future last Tuesday afternoon.
“Our Open Houses are our biggest recruitment events…and we had a great showing this week,” said Melissa Leno, LSC’s director of
admissions.
Prospective students were able to ask questions and gather information on LSC’s programs. They were also treated to music from LSC’s Concert Choir, Halloween candy at most tables (with the exception of the Dental Hygiene program, which gave away toothpaste) and jack ‘o’ lanterns of every shape, size and subject – which were also part of a “Greatest Pumpkin” contest, judged by Lake Superior College’s Vice President of Finance, Mark Winson. Biology Instructor Theresa Hornstein took the top prize with her scary pumkinheaded skeleton creation.
The next LSC Open House will be held Friday, April 17, 2009.
