Volunteers Needed for Grandma’s Marathon
As a major sponsor of Grandma’s Marathon, LSC is in a position to help the Marathon organizers and help our students all at the same time. We are forming a volunteer crew of 75-100 people to work near the finish line of the race.
If you are willing to spend the morning of Saturday, June 16, in the midst of all the excitement that is Grandma’s Marathon, then please volunteer to be part of the LSC team. If we can round up enough volunteers to meet our goal, the LSC Foundation will receive a sizable donation for student scholarships. Last year this event raised over $1,500 for the scholarship fund.
You don’t have to be an LSC employee or student to be part of the LSC Volunteer team. Bring your friends, family members, neighbors, and other cool people along for the fun.
In return for your efforts you will receive a commemorative Grandma’s Marathon Volunteer T-shirt, two beverage tickets, and an invitation to the Grandma’s Marathon Volunteer Appreciation Party scheduled for Sunday, June 24 at Grandma’s Sports Garden plus the good feeling that just comes naturally to those who help others.
