“Dances and Dreams,” the first-ever spring concert by the seventeen-member LSC Choir will be held Thursday, May 3, at 7:00 p.m. in the Atrium. Directed by Carolyn Rynex, the event is free and open to the public. Guest artists include Shelly Gruskin and Johanna Gruskin on recorder, violinist Dale Rogers, the LSC String Ensemble, and guitarist John Farrell. The program will feature works by Schubert, Renaissance composer Giovanni Nanino, and a number of contempory composers whose lyrics incorporate the work of poets Langston Hughes, Walt Whitman, and Emily Dickinson.
