Each year the LSC Art Club and the Art Department create hundreds of bowls for the Empty Bowl fundraiser, an event that raises funds for the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank. In December, students and community volunteers made 500 bowls during a 24-hour “Throw-a-thon.” The bowls have been fired and are ready to glaze. A “Glaze-a-thon” is scheduled between 5-8 p.m., Thursday, March 1. Students and interested ceramic artists are invited to participate.

The finished works will be sold at The Depot on April 3, during the Empty Bowl.
