Sandy Solem, a firefighter with the Duluth Fire Department who recieved her fire and EMS training at Lake Superior College, is a member of a team that placed second at the World’s Firefighter Combat Challenge. Solem and partner Joyce Sauer competed in the “Female Tandem” catagory last week in Las Vegas, Nevada. Details are available on the Duluth News Tribune Website and the WDIO/WIRT Website.
