The Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival is an annual fundraising event organized by the Superior Rotary Club and Duluth’s Harbortown Rotary Club. The race is held in the Superior Bay off Barkers Island in Superior, Wisconsin and includes a traditional dragon boat race as well as a host of other exciting and entertaining festivities. The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 26.

LSC’s Student Life is sponsoring a Dragon Boat and needs volunteers for the crew. According to Director of Student Life Roger Johnson, at least two races will be held in the morning and afternoon. If the LSC crew makes it to the finals, the third race will be held early evening, so plan to spend the whole day at Barker’s Island.
