Proctor
High School

During the time I was in high school, my class and I thought we had it hard there. Actually, it was easy for us. Nobody really got into any trouble. Of course, the school had its rules for us. Most students wouldn’t follow them anyway and we really didn’t get in trouble for it. For example, we couldn’t go out for lunch, always have to have our parking passes in the window of our vehicles, and couldn’t be in the hallways during classes or lunch. The school staff rarely enforced these rules. But from my graduating class too this years graduating class, everything changed.

After my class graduated, Proctor got a new vice principle. The first day in class for students, he gave a speech in the auditorium. Students thought this guy was funny, so everyone figured he was going to be a pretty cool guy said my friend (Laura) that is a senior this year. After that, he turned out to be the hardest guy they ever met.

From the time I was in high school, some of the doors from the outside going in are locked. From my new knowledge from this year, all the doors are locked. This means if a person or student were to leave the building, they could not get back in at all. Unless another student let them back in. This new rule screwed over the construction students that had to leave the campus to go work on the site. The school also installed security cameras at all the entrances. Laura said “it’s like a prison there now”.

From all the previous years, the vice principle always warned students to have their parking passes in their vehicles or their vehicles would be towed at their expense. They never went threw with it. I’ve learned that this year multiple students had their vehicles towed. Some students had parking passes but they were driving a different vehicle for the day. But they were still towed. The new vice principle even ordered to put gates at all parking lots and lock them during school hours. This also would affect students that had construction class or simply had to leave early.

Previews years, school staff would rarely care when students were in the hallways during class periods without a hall pass. Student this year would get detention for going to the bathroom without a hall pass. I believe that this is just outrageous. When I was a senior, we could eat in the senior hallway on the second floor during lunch. From what I heard, everyone had to stay in lunch room during lunch hours.

            Proctor
High School has gotten a lot stricter with the new vice principle from when I was a senior to this years graduating class. Some of the new rules seem to be ridiculous. Every year, more and more rules are being applied. Future student at

Proctor
High School are going to have a tough time there.

  1. I liked your essays. I think you made some good changes to some of them. Good work. I also liked this essay of yours the best.
