Attitudes
The world we live today is a market world. The majority of jobs out there, you have to deal with customers. There are all sorts of customers out there. Everyone is a customer at multiple points in our life. I work at two different jobs that both deal with customers. The way that I group customers is based on their attitude; there are the normal, overly nice, and crabby customers
The majority of customers that I encounter are the normal customers. These are the customers that walk into a store and select the product they need. By the time they get to the till, they usually say “hi” or “how is it going” to me. Then they pay for the items and walk out the door. I might seem them again, I might not.
The second type of customers I like to talk about are the overly nice customers. These are the customers that come to the same store on a daily bases. Most of the time, I enjoy talking to them. Some of them though, they can be really annoying. They usually walk into the store and immediately say “how is it going today” to me. Then they walk around the store for a while, grab the products they need, and come back to the till and start talking again. They usually ask me how I’m doing today, and that how usually a conversation will start. If that customer is not in a rush that day, they will usually hang around for like an hour. Some day I just get annoyed by them though. They really have too much time on there hands to hang around a convenient store for an hour each day. Most of them I get along with pretty well. But they seriously need to find something better to do. When they do leave, they usually say “catch you later” and then I wont seem the again the next day.
Crabby customers, these are the people that I hate. They come into the store with a negative attitude and they are squawking about something. I really hate them when they come into the store yelling at there kids. They seem to pass back and forth through out the store because they are undecided on what products they want. When they get to the till, they usually slam their thinks on the counter top. If they have kids with, they are usually yelling at them to hurry up. They usually don’t say anything to me unless they are squawking about the store. I got into a lot argument with customers that are in a crabby mood. Usually I act overly nice and they usually get even madder. I usually say “have a nice day” and they storm out the door.
All the customers are the same. They purchase products and that is what keeps the company. But each customer has there own attitude and they all relate in different ways.
