My route was rolling hills. I ran easy then for 2 miles in the middle of the run I picked up my pace to race pace. Last part of run I ran easy.
I just wanted to take it easy to make sure my foot could handle a longer run. In the middle I picked it up just out of couriousty, it wasn’t really planed. I still don’t feel like I’m at were I left off but I hope by next week all will be well.

My course was rolling hills. I ran today to test out my foot injury so I ran nice and easy with caution.
My foot feels better, but still aches. It felt fine when I ran today although I can still feel just a little discomfort. I am still icing it twice a day and taking Motrin.
Things have gone downhill for me this week. On Thursday afternoon, well after my run, my foot just started hurting. It got worse and was terrible pain and burning. On Sat. I tried to run, but could only take like 4 running steps before I had to stop. I have decieded to take some time off until it feels better. I have done my eliptical machine, but I still feel discomfort in my foot while doing this. I have been icing and stretching and taking IB prophrine. Today it still aches but is feeling better. I tried taking some running steps and it felt better. In 15 years of running I have only experienced shin splints. I have never had injuries. I am bumbed but remain optimistic. It usually doesn’t take me long to get back to where I was.

I am happy that so far this week I have been able to pretty much keep with the schedule, and I don’t feel the fatigue that I was feeling before. Yaaaah!

Today it seemed like I struggled a little. Although I was able to keep my pace, it felt harder than usual. I was over dressed and became quite hot. I should have worn my shorts but couldn’t deciede so I went with pants. I will ware my shorts tomorrow for sure.
