Sat. March 22nd

Today I ran 5 miles.  It took me about 42 min.

My course is mostly flat with some smaller uphill and some downhill as well. 

I warmed up for the 1st mile and a half.  I did 4 x 100m pick-ups where I would increase my speed to race pace, hold for 5 sec and decline my pace.  I would recover for 100 m and repeat.  These where done on a slight incline. I than ran easy until I hit my last mile. I did my last 2 100 m pick-ups and ran easy the rest of the way for cool down.

This was a scheduled run which I completed.

I felt really good.  I like doing the pick-ups.  It seems like it make regular pace that much easier.

Today I ran another 6 mile run.  It took me roughly 55 min.

This was a scheduled easy run, so my pace was easy.  Fun!!  I never really run easy!

I completed the scheduled workout.

My route has a mix of hills up and down.  There is a spot where I run up a 1 mile long hill that is pretty steep.  It’s a killer.  My butt always BURNS up this hill, so I named it the butt burner!  I dislike the butt burner.

Overall I felt pretty good.  I am a little sore from running yesterday.  This is the most running I’ve done for awhile, but it shouldn’t take me long to get feeling good.

Today I ran 6 miles with a 2 mile race pace pick-up in the middle of it.  It took me about 50 min.

Easy 1 mile warm-up.  During the 2 mile race pace my effort was hard.  I stuggled to keep pace for the whole 2 miles.  Rest of my run was moderate to easy.

This was a scheduled work out, and I completed it.  I felt great when I was done!

My route was state rd. #2 in Two Harbors.  It’s mixed with flat, up hill and down hill.

What a great day for a run.  41 degrees!  Perfect!!

Today we got our training schedules.  I have choosen to try the intermediate half marathon guide. 

I did 50 min of plyometrics. 

It was difficult.  It works cardio and strenth at the same time and I was tired, and kinda sore when I got done.

I love this workout.  It’s a killer

Today I ran 4miles

My effort was moderate

My route was hilly both up and down

It was snowing huge, fluffy flakes.  They stuck to my face.  It was a beatiful run, quiet and peaceful with no wind.
