Boundaries

                                                            Boundaries

The limits I set on my own behavior is:  I don’t use drugs or alcohol

                                                                 I avoid people who use

If a conversation gets too negative I leave

I walk away from a fight

I don’t associate with people who break the law

I feel I have healthy boundaries which developed from years of experience in many situations good and bad.

Interview

Interview of Chris by Tim Steele

Chris: How did you lose so much weight?    I just basically watched what I ate and I got a membership at gym.  I worked on different sections of my body each day yet I worked on my abs daily as well as an aerobic work out.

Chris: What were the obstacles that tried to stand in your way?  Cravings for unhealthy foods, lack of motivation, and finding the time to exercise.

Chris:  Do you have any advice to offer anyone who wants to lose weight?  Discipline, discipline is the key to weight lose.

What I’ve learned from this interview.  I didn’t really learn anything knew but what Chris said reinforced what I already know.  Now it’s just a matter of discipline and applying myself.

Goal Setting

April 2nd, 2007 by tisteele
One short term goal of mine is to make it to class on time every day.  First I will set my alarm.  Wake up, and get to school early.  I will know where my classes are and show up on time with all assignments completed.Another short term goal of mine is to get all assignments done on time.  I will jot down all assignments and due dates in my planner and then set aside adequate time to do my work and then hand all work in on time.

One long term goal of mine is to get an A in all my classes.  I will see a tutor if I need help with my work, show up to class on time every day, take good notes and study them later.  Turn in all my assignments on time and come prepared for tests, quizes, and exams.

Another long term goal of mine is to move to Bloomington in May.  I will finish this semester in May and then I will pack my things and move after I have the A O.K. from my social worker.

The perfect Job

April 2nd, 2007 by tisteele

I now have the perfect job as a Social Worker.  It feels good to be able to help those in need to the best of my ability.  I work with people who have awesome personalities and they also have potential to go through a lot of change as they go through recovery.  Were I come in is finding for them the right environment to grow as a person and to allocate the funds for whatever treatment or facility they may need.  I also recommend clients to appropriate counselors, psychiatrists, financial workers, psychologists and physicians.  To be able to see these people go through drastic changes for the better gives me a true feeling of success.

Spring Break Entry

April 2nd, 2007 by tisteele

Over spring break I got to spend alot of time with my family.  It was good to go back to my home town again.  I ate alot of my grandma’s home cooking, and went out to eat with my mother too.  I wanted to visit my twin brother in prison but I guess I got to fill out a visitation form and have it approved by the warden to be able to get in.  I talked to him over the phone though, he’s looking at doing 5 to 9 years behind bars for attempting to rob a drug dealer.  Even though he’s faced with so much time, he still seems to be in good spirits.

Schedule

April 2nd, 2007 by tisteele

According to my schedule, I feel I give enough time to school and studying to get things done.  One thing I could work on is lifting weights more and sleeping less.
