Dear Art Instructor:
The Community College Fine Arts Festival will be located at Lake Superior College in Duluth, October 13, 14, 15, 2008.
If your school has attended the Festival before you already know what a great opportunity this is for students and faculty. If you are new to the Festival I encourage you to attend. Please call me if you need further information.
I have tried to plan a Festival with lots of hands- on workshops with topics of interest for all. We have some GREAT presenters! So come and join us. This year we are offering on-line registration and information blog, all registration will take place here on this blog site.
Hotels: See the attached list and be sure to mention the Fine Arts Festival when you call. Blocks of rooms have been set aside but you must reserve by September 19th, 2008. You may use school purchase orders —just ask when reserving rooms. Be sure to tell the motels to cut off long distance and not allow any additional room charges or you may be paying extra.
Meals: There are several meal plans. Choose the type and number of plans you need to purchase and send the information to: See meal plan sheet.
Deadline for meal request September 19 2008.
Workshops: Faculty should register students using the on-line information. Faculty will be able to visit the workshops and no sign up is necessary. Register on this blog site. Faculty will register all students. You can print hard copies to share with your students. Deadline for on-line registration is Sept 19th, 2008. Starts Sept 1st, 2008. Registration in certain workshops is limited and closed when it is full.
Schedule: A general schedule of events is included on this blog site and you will receive updates until Sept 1st, 2008.
Maps and Parking Permits: Maps are on the blog site and parking permits will be Included in arrival packets.
