Signs from Asia

I couldn’t resist this photo from a Pizza Hut in Kowloon, across the harbor from Hong Kong. Sure enough, I waited around for a little while to hear some locals say, “Hey, let’s salad together, and then let’s pizza together, and then let’s cheesecake together!” At least I think that’s what they said.

In Indonesia, the language uses the same roman alphabet as English, which at least gives you a fighting chance at figuring out some of the words. Then they occasionally throw you a bone with a very similar spelling as well.

At this brew house in Saigon they have a great respect for beer, but even better they have a respect for your taste. Respectfully submitted.

Travellator Sign

I have a layover in the Singapore airport on my way to Jakarta. The Singapore airport is very modern, very clean, and they speak very good English around here. In other words, it’s hard to find goofy signs here. One of the first things I noticed getting off the plane was their name for the “moving walkway.” The Travellator!! Much cooler name.

Be careful, you are approaching the end of the travellator!
