This article in the New York Times about smoking bans reminded me of a nice afternoon I spent in downtown Minneapolis last summer. BTW, we enjoyed our time at Cowboy Slim’s. I’m also not an anti-smoking zealot, but I do find defiance of authority more than just a little bit intriguing.

As the lady almost leaned on the sign at the outdoor bar, she puffed away without getting any attention from the staff.

Have you sever seen a living snow fence? You have now. Please donate today to help all the snow fences before they die out.

I found this sign to be most informative in the rest room here at the college.

This sign greeted people as they walked into the auditorium at Elgin CC for my keynote address there in March 2009. Of course I asked everyone to turn their cellular devices ON, especially since we used them as part of the session by demonstrating Poll Everywhere as part of my Teaching with Technology, Myths and Realities presentation.
