I’m breaking my own rule with this post. My rule has been that I only post photos of signs where I have taken the photo in places I have been. I do have people who send me pictures of signs but I don’t post them because it wasn’t a sign that I saw and photographed. This time I’m bending the rule because I love this shot and it was taken at our “out-service” day when we had well over 100 employees at the Lake Superior Zoo for a day of cleanup and fix-up. I was there, but I wasn’t right there at the time this picture was taken by Gary K. Thanks Gary.

This sign on a public bathroom wall seems well placed. It is probably the place where you are most aware of your need for Ultroid.

There’s something about her shushing signal (or finger kissing, if you prefer) that strikes me as odd as this particular poster.

As someone who works in higher ed, I found this sign on the back of a guy’s shirt in a Florida beach bar to be quite funny.

… but they wanted to say it anyway.

I love Florida. I feel like I belong here.

This shot was taken near the Miller Hill  Mall in Duluth on Feb. 11, 2008. Local temperature was 17 below zero. Forecast in Key West today is for a high temp of 76 degrees, a mere 93 degree differential. To make matters worse, their low temp is expected to be 71 degrees.

I keep hearing Jimmy Buffet singing “Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes” in the back of my mind. I wonder why that is.
