Well this week seems like it went alot better then the last couple of weeks. i have been feeling pretty good! I ran the Fitgers 5k in 27 mins. I wish i could have done it a little faster then that but i think i wore to many layers and i over heated a little bit. I had fun though and i am really looking forward to the half. I just love all the excitment and all the people watching! I wish i could find some more races before the Marathon but i don;t think i wil have the time to run any other ones.
My sleep patterns are getting better and i am getting to bed earlier then i was. I am starting to run farther a day and i am feeling really good. I have a goal to try and keep up with my dad during the marathon because i think that he would be very proud of me and we are both pretty competative so he would push me.
So this is what i ran this week
Monday: I took the day off and walked on the boardwalk. It was a very nice day.
Tuesday: I ran about 3 miles outside with a couple of hills.
Wednesday: I went home this day to Chisholm and had some stuff going on so i couldn’t run.
Thursday: I ran about 3 31/2 miles outside.
Friday: I ran about 3 to 4 miles with some more hills. (its kind of hard to escape hills in Duluth)
Saturday: I ran the 5k
Sunday: I took the day off
I am having fun training so far and the weeks are getting closer and closer. Before you know it the day will be here to actually run the race!

Hey,
That time is pretty good! It was deceptively warm for the race. It was cold watching, but most people who ran said they got hot. How did you feel afterwards? Your training looks good this week. Keep working on your sleep! The race is approaching fast. What is your long run now? Hopefully ,you will have it upwards of 10 miles by week 12–then two weeks to rest up. If 10 seems like a lot, don’t stress..this is a goal not a requirement. Add one mile a week and rest before and afterwards with a day off. The LR should be the focus now. If you are able to finish this, you can feel confident about feeling good for the half.
