This course is designed to assist physical therapist assistants in reviewing and/or updating concepts fundamental to physical therapy as well as new theories about practice. It will also be helpful to those preparing to take the national licensure exam and those who have not actively practiced physical therapy in the recent past.Students complete course assignments and readings at their own pace, though they are encouraged to follow the Course Schedule so as not to fall behind. The course is held completely online, so access to the internet is required. There is no set time of day or day of the week that students need to be online, although students can plan to spend at least 4-8 hours per week studying for the course and completing course assignments. Interaction with the instructor and other students occurs via e-mail and a course bulletin board, organized by week and topic. Students can submit assignments via discussion board posting or in the course “drop box.” Instructions are provided.
