Lake Superior College Spring Choir Concert May 5; Special Guest Artists The Arrowhead Chorale.
April 22nd, 2009 by Gary Kruchowski(Duluth, Minn.) – The public is invited to attend Lake Superior College’s spring choir concert on Tuesday, May 5 at 7 p.m. in the college’s Atrium. Admission is free.
Directed by Carolyn Rynex, the program will feature songs about singing including works by Thomas Morley, Gerald Finzi, David Dickau, and the Beatles. Special guest artists, the Arrowhead Chorale directed by Stanley Wold, will give audience members a taste of their own upcoming concert and then join the Concert Choir to perform a few pieces, including the “Alleluia” from Paul Basler’s Songs of Faith.
LSC is a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. With more than 4,800 students enrolled this spring semester, LSC is northeastern Minnesota’s largest two-year college. LSC provides a wide range of programs and services, including liberal arts and science courses for transfer, technical programs intended to provide occupational skills, continuing education, and customized training for business and industry. LSC is also a leader in Internet-delivered courses and programs in Minnesota.
