school

It has been a fast half way to me. I like how fast were going though it keeps me busy. I have learned how to site my research and even do more researching on something before i start writing about it. I am enjoying the class so far

I thought the quote by Carol Bly was cool. “Civilization is partly about noticing and appreciating what other people are doing”. If we didnt notice what others are doing than we wouldnt be able to appreciate much of anything. You kinda have to learn something from somebody in anything that you do.

Well the truth is that I wasnt here on friday to see them sit in from of the class but I nedd to do this to get my 5 points. So I am going with the guess the maggie is the liar!?

I thought the quote ” arguments are the wost sort of conversation” was interesting. I dont agree with it at all because if we didnt argue with eachother there would be some really bad things around. You cant just agree with everyone not only because they might be totally wrong and have no clue on the situation but every thing we do would be because you agreed with someone. Expressing your opinion is huge in our society and wouldnt be where we are today if we didnt.

Well i am having trouble coming up with something good and fun to write about and all i can think of right now is trying to say that cigarettes are good for you and saying that it is a stress reliever and maybe coming up with somethin like it will protect your body from artheritus or somethin like that. Not sure though, if you have any better ideas for me i would be glad to hear them.

Well i learned that there is a lot of different ways to go with this paper. I learned some things at lsc that i didnt know like how the busses work and how to petition for something that you want. I struggled a little bit about how i should write this paper and it ended up looking like a essay but i have a couple changes i can make so ill be alright. Me as a writer i learned that i need to look over what i typed and worded things because it dosnt look on paper what it would sound like coming out of my mouth.

On the list I had trouble figuring out which one is my strenght but I am going to go with Trnquility, I normally dont let anything bother me. I have had a lot of set backs in my life but I always know I will pull through them and something better might come out of it. I am also a firm beleiver in everything happens for a reason. Maybe even someone dosnt like me and lets people know behind my back i wont let that get to me either because i really dont think there is too many people that havent talked about someone behind their back.

My weekness out of the list would probably bbe Order. I am horrible at remembering things and getting them done on time. Sometimes i just dont think i have time for and then when its too late i go back and wish that i would have done it.

I think the point is that there are some people that have no worries in the economy we are in right now. They can just go through life spending and treating themselves to whatver they want.

I think that it is stupid that it has to be like that. I understand there is always going to be a upper, middl, and lower class but right now the upper class is striving and everyone else seems to be more in debt every day.

The audience could be for everyone. I see this picture differently than a poor person would or a wealthy person would.

It might change some peoples mind on how they think of money but most likely not, people will still keep charging and spending money they dont have, or the people that do have it to them it really dosent matter much.

It probably wont make to many people angry but maybe a little annoyed about it all.

Well if this dosnt make someone think about what the message is they are probably like the lady in the picture buying the clothes. It made me think about it thats for sure. I wish i could go on a shopping spree!!

What really suprises me is some of the questions on the random quiz they give out. Why do people need to know who wrote the star spangled banner or who said “give me liberty or give me death”? Maybe its just me and it really dosnt matter to me but i am living just fine with out knowing those things and I have never had to know them for anything. I have never been out in a situation where these questions came up and im pretty sure I most likely never will. I must be a bad citizen because i could only answer half of these questions. Im sure they could be giving these people different questions that actually matter in real life in the U.S.A.

When I came to Duluth 3 years ago the only person I knew was my brother who is in the Coast Guard so making new friends was an objective for me. I work at Champs in the mall so I started hangin out with the people i work with and I still do hang out with a couple of them on the weekends. One of the guys also intorduced me to a basketball league in Duluth where i still play in the summer and winter league. My experience in a new place wasn’t too bad at all it was actually a pretty fun adventure for me.
