Week #5!
Wow! I cannot believe it is week five! Overall, this week was not so great for me. I was extremely tired and sluggish. School was very busy and I ended up working 30 hours at my job, so I was beat! I am still very frustrated with my diet and I just cannot seem to find a happy medium. (Between protien and carbohydrate consumption) I am sure that this will occur after or right before Grandma’s!:) (Murphy’s Law)Anyways, Congrats to all that ran Fitger’s on Saturday! I really would have loved to run, however, I had to work. Hopefully next week will be better and I will be able to get more miles in! With that said, here is my week.
Monday:
Toning class for an hour and fifteen minutes followed by advanced step for about another hour and fifteen minutes.
Tuesday:
Tried to attempt another six A.M. run. Not very successful. Only ran two miles. Felt very sluggish and tired. Got a tip from someone to try eating a banana before running right away in the morning. I am anxious to try it!
Wednesday:
Toning class for an hour and fifteen minutes. Increased my weights today! I struggled, but made it through. Kickboxing class for another hour and fifteen minutes. Did alot of jump rope in class today, boy are my calfs going to be sore tomorrow!
Thursday:
I was right, sore calfs! Took the day off today, no real time to run between work and school.
Friday:
Long run day! I was really, really tired today. I think that the week caught up with me over night. I put six miles in. Not what I wanted to do, but there is always next week…
Saturday:
Fitger’s Day! Too bad I’m at work! I came home and ran for about three miles before I was ready for some studying and then bed. Felt a little less tired today. I think that my protein shakes are starting to pay off!
Sunday:
Took the day off. Was nice to rest up for the coming week!
CONCLUSION:
Well, it wasn’t my best week, but I felt my body was telling me to take a break, so I did. Hopefully next week will be better and I won’t feel so exhausted.

I seems like you were tired from a really tough workout in the toning class. Sometimes I am more sore and sluggish two days after really working my body hard like that. So it makes since you felt so sluggish on your run. I would try a banana, but if this gives you heart burn or stomach distress try an energy bar that is mostly carbs–cliff or powerbar for pre exercise. If you keep feeling so tired, something else might me going on–so keep tabs on this.
