Tuesday

Today was a little disappointing for me.  I got up to run at six a.m. and was only able to push myself to run three miles.  I think that this is because of two things.  I am not used to running at this time of day, and because I wasn’t able to mentally push myself enough to go further.  This is a good lesson for me though I feel.  I know that I must make early morning runs more regular, and I have to work on mentally pushing myself, and motivating myself.  I wish the weather was better!!! I feel that running outside is so much easier than on a treadmill.  However, the cold air does not agree with my athsma.  Bummer! 

Thanks for the diet ideas, I feel that I am getting the hang of it a little more.  I am going to put cottage cheese into my every day diet (great idea!)  and I am realizing the more I concentrate on good complex carbs and protein, the better I feel.  Yesterday I had beef jerky and fruit for snacks, and I ate six smaller meals instead of bigger ones.  This really helps! 

Maybe I will try skipping the small run on my class days.  I usually consider it a ‘warm up’ , but your point on conserving energy for runs the next day is very good.  Today is Wednesday which means that I will have my toning class and my kick boxing class.  I will not run before these classes and see how that affects my run tomorrow morning.
