revised essay3, Shoppers
Leah Isaacson English Comp. 1106 Essay 3 Revised Shoppers I have worked at Super One grocery store for 6 years and have I seen all kinds of people shopping. It takes many types of customers to make life interesting. There are three types of customers that stick out the most to me, the once a day shopper, the once a week shopper and the once in a blue moon shopper. The once a day shopper is at the store everyday. The employees know them by name or face, talk to them and know they will see them tomorrow. This type of shopper usually has a basket instead of a cart, since they are buying so little. They are shopping everyday for the freshness or because they just like to see what they feel like eating that particular day. If a person paid attention they could be able to tell what they were going to eat. If they were going to eat spaghetti they would have noodles, sauce, meat, cheese, bread and salad in their basket. The once a week shopper usually has a cart that is ¼ to ½ way full. They are usually families with children. They are the type of shopper that is preparing meals for a couple of days and possibly for school lunches. They might have a couple of gallons of milk, a couple loaves of bread, some lunch meat, chips, drink boxes, fruit snacks, little Debbie’s, assorted meat and vegetables. The once in a blue moon shopper is one of the strangest shopper. They have to buy so much food that a person has to wonder if they have anything to eat at home. They are the type of shopper to use two or more carts and several members of their family to get the job done. Not only do they buy one of everything but they buy multiples of each product. Their carts are so full when they check out the wheels are buckling under. Not only does this shopper buy everything in the store but they also take up both belts at the register and need every floor associate to help bag their groceries. People can tell a once in a blue moon shopper driving away when they see them driving away in a mini van with bags piled up to the roof. They must have to set a whole day aside for the chore of shopping and putting everything away. There are many different types of customers and the stores need all of them, whether they seem odd or not. Everyone is different and have their views on food and shopping.
