Two debatable topics
One topic that is being argued about lately is the opening of the new Save A Lot grocery store in West Duluth. There are issues surrounding it as to whether it should be union or not. There are some people that say it should be union and it isn’t. It is being picketed by people that were hired to picket it which other people think is wrong. The people that are hired to picket it aren’t even union members. There are many debates going on about it and if it should or shouldn’t be union.
Another topic is the closing of a couple Duluth Schools to help save some money. They are looking into closing Denfeld High School to help the district cut costs because of the budget cuts. Their are people in the school district that want the school to close because they don’t care and they don’t have any kids going their and then their are the people with kids in school in duluth and don’t want any schools closed. The people with the kids want to keep all the schools open so their kids can go their. They don’t want to have to make their kids go to school a long ways away if there is a school close to them.
