Pretty much nothing important going on here….

I think if I had to interview someone who is not living it would be Jane Addams, a pioneer in womens rights and equality and the founder of social work. I want to interview her because it is very rare to find someone who turned around they way things were for the better. I cant think of many people who made such a big difference in the way the world works, and who sacrificed so much to make sure her legacy was useful, sacrificing her own happiness for the good of the people. I would ask her what her frustrations were, why she did all of the great work she did, or if anyone else or any certain event sparked her inspiration for change and good. I would want to sorta get the picture of what her morals were like and how she saw the world. The three biggest questions I would ask would be:

How did males treat you in general and how did males treat you when you explained womens rights and your mission???

Is there any certain person you look up to or even any one certain person you vowed you didnt want to be like…..and why?

Can you briefly describe your perfect world? And why it would work so well?

Im thinking of writing about one of a couple things:

seperation of church and state…..because there are so many issues coming up lately that seemed to be influenced by religion, I find it necessary that we look at whos running the country and ask ourselves if religion is getting in the way of the best interest and safety of the majority of our people.

Organics: Genetically Modified Foods

Just within the past two years people have started to realize that our health as a whole is going down hill but not many people realize its because of how much genetically modified material is being processed into our food to make it yummier, last longer, look better, or be more addicting. I want to help people realize its worth the money to buy as much as you can organic and to actually look at what they are eating so we can stop wondering why every third person has cancer.

This is really delayed and old, but here is my Chapter 6 response blog. I accidently wrote a blog about just general crap instead. Oops. Ummm, Chapter 6 was easy, news stories come easy to me because they are simply relaying info, no thoughts.

Editorials do NOT look fun. The news story was fun to write because you were forced to attend an actual event, but editorials I know I am going to have trouble with. Its always hard for me to write a paper about something I feel passionately about, which you would think would be the opposite problem! I dont like opinion papers because they are difficult and always seem to have too many rules on “how to relay your opinion correctly”.

I changed my mind within the last week and decided to Spanish as a major! Not sure what I am quite going to do yet….all I know is that I plan to study abroad in Mexico and another Spanish speaking country. I am also trying to set up a trip to see some friends in Mexico (Profi Tim) doing study abroad right now. This damn cold weather sure as hell helps my motivation, I cant stand it up here right now, its ridiculous, I want it to be done with. I hate cold weather like this and it makes me sad! I just keep looking at pictures of myself and friends in the summer, its a really good mental vacation!
