I was actuallywas not able to come to class last Thursday.  So, I was unable to watch the video.  I was in the Emergancy Room. However, I did watch Garden State.  I can see Adam’s point of view 100%.  This movie was a great movie for me to watch as a college student.  His reasoning behind why a college student should watch it, is something I can agree with 100%!  I hope everyone enjoyed the movie.  I would have much rather been there than were I was!! The end of the semester is near!!! I cannot wait, especially with days like today!!

After reading the two articles on pages 703 and 708, it was very apparent that each article had a different view on same sex marriages.  The first article was apparent that the author didn’t really see a problem with same sex marriages, where the author of the second article was against the idea of same sex marriage.  My personal opinion is if two men want to get married or two women want to get married, that is their choice.  Personally it doesnt effect me if two men get married or two women.  My life will still go on and my day won’t change.  It is against my religion, but there are many things that I don’t agree with in my religion.  I think that people say it is wrong for people of the same sex to get married is their opinion, but it is unfair to not allow two people in love to become a couple.  Gay or lesbian couples might not agree with heterosexual marriages, but no one is stopping that.  I think it is a touchy subject and I hope someday people will understand that if two people are in love they should be allowed to get married.

I will be completly honest, logic is a subject that I sometimes lack on.  I know that I do what makes the most sense, and I feel like that is the best thing to do.  I have made some good decisions and bad decisions. 

Last week I was in Florida/ North carolina.  It was amazing. It is so hard to come back to the cold and cloudiness.  It is amazing how much better someone feels when the sun is shining and it is warm outside! Sun is a good mood lifter!! I always feel happier when it is sunny outside even if it is cold!! I hope everyone is having a good Wednesday!! Only two days of classes left this week!!! Whoo Hooo

I think that the article is partially true.  My boyfriend is African American and when we are in a small town together you can totally notice how the people of the town are wierded out by him.  I think that it was interesting when it said he whistled.  I think that would just cause more attention to him, but if it worked for him, then it was good that did it.  As a female when I am walking or running at night I feel a little frightened when any male is behind me.  It is wierd, I dont get that way when a female is behind me, only males.  Sorry guys!

I just finished reading the essay The Truth About M&M’s.  I really enjoyed the article.  I can totally agree with the ideas presented in the article.  I can see the groups of students that Steve talks about, as a student even!! I like the creativity in the piece.  I am jelous that I am not creative like that!  I never thought of people as chocolate.  Anyways, I liked the article, there were interesting ideas, which made it fun to read!

This last week was LSC’s spring break.  I didn’t do anything special really.  I stayed in Superior/ Duluth area and worked at both my jobs!! It wasn’t fun, but I know when I get paid it will be nice!!  The weather here has been pretty nice the last couple days, so that is always good!! I love to see the sun shining, and that snow melting!! It is great!! I am actually going to visit my mom next week.  She lives in Charlotte North Carolina.  It will be nice to go see her.  The weather has been in the upper 70’s there!! I am going to be visiting UNCC.  I am going to be transfering there for next year!! I hope everyone else had a great spring break…

After reading the article The Ugly Truth, I was very interested in the ideas and subjects were true and false at the same time.  I think that when the author talks about how women always feel the need to change something and they don’t think they are good enough the way they are that it is a little true.  I think that no matter how beautiful some one may be, more than likely they will find something wrong.  I think that the article was false because overall it was a huge generalization.  I think there is a lot of men that are not shallow and look for the inner beauty as well as outer beauty.  I think this article was a eye opener and I am glad that I read it.
