Ann, this shot is what I call pure elements. It’s engaging not only because of the curious subject, but because of the strong directional and vanishing line, the repetitious shapes, the repetitious bold lines, the accent of light on metal, the contrast of shadow on wood, the rough and smooth texture, and the subtle warm and cool colors that speak of a time, a place and a purpose. The asymmetry adds a touch of off balance, and once again you’ve taken something very simple that most would take for granted or not even notice, and created a composition that almost anyone can relate to during sometime in thier life. This not a pretty picture this is Beautiful!
