In reading chapter six in the book Writing in the Works by Susan Blau and Kathryn Burak I learned a lot about how write news stories that were tied into events that happened or are now happening. One of the things I did not know when writing these paper was that the most important thing is to always cite your sources in the news story. When I read about the inverted triangle, it made me think about what I learned in College Comp. two about outlines and the inverted triangle is an outline use for writing newspaper articles and so forth. You start with the main topic or point your trying to get across or a summary of the event, then you have some leading quotes or details that support your main point or the main event that is happening, then at the end you have the lesser important details or information. When I read about the angels in a new story, and how they tell the reader the why or how of the event, I realized if I didn’t know the angels of the news stories my story that I will be writing about in the first paper would be as good as it could be, because it would no tell the full story.
