I think Dave Barry did a good job at explainning his topic.  He tells you about each sex and then gives different examples.  He talks more about female mainly because he is a guy and he doesnt need to do a whole lot to look good.  Females on the other hand need certain items to make them look good.  He also jokes about some things that would be funny to a guy and not so funny to a female.  The point is just to tell the reader to not be affended if the person is lieing or telling the truth on how you look.  Becasue those are the only two ways to answers that.
