Winter Storm Fun
The day after the storm was a great wake up. I get out of my bed and see the streets covered and not showing the pavement. I then got ready for the day, and received a phone call. My dad calls and tells me to shovel everything before I do anything. I thought that would put a damper on my day but after an hour of snow blowing I was ready to have some fun. My buddy has a four wheeler and we decided to go behind seven bridges road. We had the plan since the roads where covered with snow to pull me behind the four wheeler going about forty miles an hour. I was strapped on my snowboard and ready to go sketching. He pulled me up and down the street and whipping circles while I was hanging on. The feeling was like wake boarding or water skiing. After a while we built a jump and when it was complete I was confused on what to do off the jump. This jump was about 3 feet high and launched you about twenty feet out. After I took a test run to see if the jump held, my friend and I were ready to go. I told him to go fifty so I could get enough air to do a 360 grab. As he pulled me down the road to get a running start at the jump, I used the snow banks as a quarter pipe and was popping off the lip and spinning around and having fun. Now it was serious, I had the jump about a quarter a mile away. My friend took off and I was ready for the jump. Going about fifty I was getting nervous. As I approached the jump to attempt my first trick off it my friend juiced the throttle and it gave me a boost of speed and, I released the rope. I hit the jump and got perfect air and hang time to complete the 360 stale fish grab. I Landed clean on the soft and cushiony powder and road away until my speed descended. After i landed the trick i was really stoked. We were out there for about five hours riding over and over. That will be a day I will remember because it was the first time this winter I could go urban snowboarding.
