Struggling for Perfection

I didn’t really like this story.  It had some great examples of cause and effect, but the story was to dull for me to fully read.  When i read that she was doing research on patients, I thought that it was a great set up for cause and effect.  When i got half way through the story i felt like throwing the book away.  The words she choose to use where way to high classed.  I hate it when someone has to use a stupid sounding word to explain something.  Just explain it in your way of telling it.  The word entrenched  Is not needed in this story.  That word makes it more complicating to read the whole story because it throws you off the subject.  I think as i read that word, how can this word make the story sound better.  Making sense in your story is what matters.  The subject was very boring too.  Unless i am going to become a doctor for that subject or do research on that subject then i would have enjoyed reading it.  I dont like reading stuff about people doing research on sexuality and eating disorders.  Good examples on what we are learning, but the story was horrible.  thought i was going to fall asleep.

Just walking by response

I thought the story line was great.  He described a lot about who he was and where he came from.  With that to set up the story, we got the idea of why people would lock their doors when he walked by, or acted like he was a person who would steal, or mug someone in the park.  I believe that this has been happening for a long time.  I think it is still happening to this day as well.  The people that act really perinoied are the ones that freak out when something doesnt look right to them.  You just got to look for the first sign  they would make to judge what they might do to you.  If most people would relax when they encounter this, we would all be better off.

M&M’s

I think this fits people in the perfect place.  The idea of M&M’s to portait people is great.  I wouldn’t agree with the penute being the best one to strive for an A mainly because those are my least favorite M&M’s.  I thought the story was complete in many ways.  It explains how getting work done and trying or not on the homework to get an A in the course is.  Also, the different kinds of M&M’s help define a little about what the writer means.

Winter Storm Fun

The day after the storm was a great wake up.  I get out of my bed and see the streets covered and not showing the pavement.  I then got ready for the day, and received a phone call.  My dad calls and tells me to shovel everything before I do anything.  I thought that would put a damper on my day but after an hour of snow blowing I was ready to have some fun.  My buddy has a four wheeler and we decided to go behind seven bridges road.  We had the plan since the roads where covered with snow to pull me behind the four wheeler going about forty miles an hour.  I was strapped on my snowboard and ready to go sketching.  He pulled me up and down the street and whipping circles while I was hanging on.  The feeling was like wake boarding or water skiing.  After a while we built a jump and when it was complete I was confused on what to do off the jump.  This jump was about 3 feet high and launched you about twenty feet out.  After I took a test run to see if the jump held, my friend and I were ready to go.  I told him to go fifty so I could get enough air to do a 360 grab.  As he pulled me down the road to get a running start at the jump, I used the snow banks as a quarter pipe and was popping off the lip and spinning around and having fun.  Now it was serious, I had the jump about a quarter a mile away.  My friend took off and I was ready for the jump.  Going about fifty I was getting nervous.  As I approached the jump to attempt my first trick off it my friend juiced the throttle and it gave me a boost of speed and, I released the rope.  I hit the jump and got perfect air and hang time to complete the 360 stale fish grab.  I Landed clean on the soft and cushiony powder and road away until my speed descended.  After i landed the trick i was really stoked.  We were out there for about five hours riding over and over.  That will be a day I will remember because it was the first time this winter I could go urban snowboarding.
