INTRODUCTORY ESSAY

English Composition 1

The things I have learned are quite plentiful and exuberant in nature. There was a lot of information out there that was presented during the class time. Anyone who missed a lot of class also missed a lot of important information. The way the class was presented was uplifting. I didn’t miss a day of class as far as I can remember. I think that I have obtained enough knowledge to go on to English Composition II. There were many things that I have never come across in my life time and in a way that was invigorating. I would and have, recommended this class to several other students both from Lake Superior College and from other colleges also. I have learned that I can still maintain my status with the big dogs.

The difficulties I had been mostly with signing on to the Blog site at first. After that I had a bit of trouble when I uploaded or transferred a document. It’s still frustrating, especially when we had to copy and paste. It would reformat to the extreme and that it was even harder for me to figure it out.

The topics I chose were maybe deep seeded issues I have from the past. I found that writing was a great way to vent. There were newer matters I wanted express also, and being normally rather shy I could not voice my opinion in any other way.

My favorite essay was the essay I wrote about comparing Steve Daleger to M&M’s. I guess this is because it is both a positive and humorous essay.

My least favorite one is the first one I wrote on “Who Can You Really Trust.” This brought back the anxiety I used to experience back when I went out with my ex-boyfriend. Boy am I glad I didn’t marry him when he asked me.

I found that using an outline helped me out drastically. I used the Q&A on line to teach myself more about punctuation. I also used Tutor and that was very beneficial for me. The comments the class gave were good, but there was generally a wait for those. I’d have to say that the comments from Dalager were very appropriate and also helpful in determining the proper formation of the particular task on an essay we were trying to incorporate.

My progress as a writer has emencily expanded and has further personal expectations in the line of writing skills. As for now it will probably mean English Composition II. I hope I continue to see the students from this particular class as they were very revitalizing to be around.
