Distractions

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

I,m able to concentrate on school in a classroom setting or alone at home. Way too many distractions at school, - interesting and annoying, from backround conversations to people just milling around or going to their next class.

Acedemic Goals- Fall 2007

Wednesday, March 28th, 2007

I plan to keep my schedule manageable (7-12 credits) and continue with my generals. I’ll try to gear some classes toward media studies, as of now the field I’m interested in.

campus events

Monday, March 26th, 2007

I’m signed up to go to the science museum on 4/13. I think I’ll attend the discussion on natural disasters on 4/19 for my last event.

Mid Term

Tuesday, March 20th, 2007

The first thing I’ve learned is I’m not alone in the frustrations of being in a new environment and trying to adjust and be productive. I think I’ve come a long way since the beginning of the school year. The second thing I’ve realized is a budget is going to be very important, and having the discipline to stick to it will go a long way toward being a successful student, as well as being happy and productive. The third thing I’ve gotten from F.Y.E. is to keep focused and be accountable to myself because things can get out of control and overwhelming very quickly if I were to become complacent. All of these things are good life lessons that can be applied to any situation.

Weekly Schedule

Tuesday, March 20th, 2007

My time is pretty well spent I believe. I’ll be getting to work soon, hopefully this week, and that will diminish the free time I have because I don’t see my school schedule easing up a all. I believe I can find a balance and deal with any problems that come up by simply communicating with instructors and my supervisor at work. I’m going to plan my free time a little more so I can do the things I need to do to stay sane; or at least not get any crazier.

Sring Break

Tuesday, March 13th, 2007

My spring break was’nt so nice. The blizzard was really cool (I can’t remember one like it) except of course the shoveling that had to be done. I dug out my place and the two eighty year old woman across the street. My back started to feel better just in time to come down with whatever the plauge is that’s going around town. That kicked my butt ’till last Saturday so I didn’t get many of the things done that I had planned. It feels good to be back though, I didn’t need that much time off. It was nice to be able to watch the hockey tourny, I enjoy sports and those kids play so hard out of love for the game and to simply compete it’s awsome. Hope everyone had a great break, c-ya in class!

My dream job

Tuesday, March 13th, 2007

Troy,

How’s it goin,? I got that job working for Hef. I think I’ll keep this one ’till I’m eighty or ninety. I’m traveling all over the world too the most exotic locations. I have to go on shoots with the most beautiful woman on the planet, twelve even sixteen hours a day! Try doing that two or three days a week. Hef told me if I start to feel burned out I could come over to the mansion and take a few days to get myself “relaxed and centered”, they talk like that in the biz. I better let you go, I’ve gotta get back to “work”. Let me know when you have some time off I’ll fly you out to the coast, we’ll do lunch, have some laughs.

Chapt. 6 Multisensory learning

Monday, February 26th, 2007

I scored 9 in visual, 7 in auditory, and 4 in kinesthetic. I generally agree allthough, I think learning is easy when the subject is interesting to me and fun. This is all a work in progress because I wasn’t a very good student in H.S. Working with others and talking out lessons and ideas then applying them “hands on” has always been a great way for me too retain things long term.

stress busters

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007

I choose to talk to a friend or advisor when I’m stressing. Just sharing out loud to someone about a problem helps me to relax and see the big picture
