chapter six
by bobbyrileyAfter reading the chapter very closely, something that stood out for me was “Anatomy of a News Story.” I’ve been trying to think of how I should structure the first paper. The inverted pyramid model I think helps to give an idea about how to go about doing so. I wasn’t really sure what the correct way to structure the ”news article” paper, but that helps me understand where to put the information in the paper. Kind of simple, just put the most important information first. Also, the stanza about ending the news story was intersting. It says that writers generally don’t spend too much time on the ending because that is where the least important information is. The article kinds of ‘fades away,’ rather than coming to a conclusion.
