Rhetoric Writing

After reading the rhetoric writing article I found it hard to understand how a writer can argue two points at the same time and not take a bias on the topic. I know that in my writing I always tend to invove my own opinion in my papers, which means our next paper will be a real challenge for me.

I also found the examples they mentioned on different types of arguments confusing because I didnt understand at first but after reading through them I found it making more sense. I think this could be a really interesting type of writing style becuase it gives both sides of arguments without clearly stateing what side your for. I thought it was kind of funnny how Carl Rogers said writers should eliminate threat and participate in the argument as partners not opponents because in some cases that cant be done, becuase everyone has different opinions.

Carl Rogers point of not judging the writer until you hear his whole side on the topic will help me listen more then to just dissagree right away.

The diagram which shows the new rogerian style of argument makes alot of sense because it combines both points of the argument into one so that you cant take one side you can just explain the more logical one first.
