Introductory Essay 

          Dictionary.com defines as essay as a short literary composition on a particular theme or subject, usually in prose and generally analytic, speculative, or interpretative, an effort to perform or accomplish something; attempt.  Writing can be very hard.  I always try to put forth the effort and the thought it takes to accomplish such a piece of writing.  They may not be my best but I try.          There are many different things that I have learned in this class.  I have learned how to become a better writer.  Becoming a better writer I found the inner writer with in me.  I love to write.  Writing can be very fun when it is subject that I enjoy.  Writing can become very hard for me when it is a subject that I don’t enjoy and understand.  One of the biggest difficulties I had in this class was the aftermath of the writing.  I have all these thoughts in my head and once I get it done on paper or the computer it just looks so scattered.  Punctuation is one of my biggest problems.  Sometimes I think I am punctuation right but really I am just making it worse.  It was very hard for me to overcome these challenges.  I tried to choose topics that related to me in someway.  Involving my life with my writing gives me the inspiration to write how I feel and connect with the subject.  My favorite piece was Essay 5.  Essay five was about the Dead Poets Society and why college student should watch this movie.  I think it was one of my best essays that I wrote.  I dug deep down inside myself and found the creativity to write an inspiration essay.  I enjoyed writing it because I found myself relating to the characters in the movie.  My least favorite paper is the cause and effect paper.  It was really hard for me to write this paper because it was about the effects of binge drinking.  Binge drinking is a very powerful subject it can go both ways.  The word-processed work did work for me to an extent.  I find that having peers read my work was helpful, but at the same time I felt they were just trying to be nice and just giving positive feedback and not enough help.            I think this class was very helpful.  Writing brings out a different side of me.  Overall, I think I have become a better writer.  Writing is a passion and I have found myself writing more and more just for fun!
