Adam’s Place

Friends come in many shapes and sizes. They might seem very similar most of the time because of the things they do and other friends they have, but every friend has a certain quality that makes them unique individuals. Even though all of my friends have a lot of the same interests and get along very well, the type of friend they are is a lot different from one another.  

Some friends have a weird, crazy quality about themselves that stands out or just makes other people laugh. This is the person that will always bring humor into the group, but can also be serious or caring if needed. I know anyone reading this has one of these friends. Another type is the one who takes almost everything seriously and gets mad at you when you say something stupid or perverted. They will have fun and share interests, but will stand their ground and keep their friends out of trouble. Lastly, there’s the type of people who we still consider “friends”, yet it is to their convenience. For example, these are the friends you only hear from on the weekends when there’s a big party going on. We all have friends that share at least one of these characteristics. I for one have had these experiences with my friends.

For instance, I have a friend named Paul who never really talks about anything else except doing dumb things or hitting on random girls. It is pretty funny, but sometimes you just need a serious conversation. I do consider him a friend, but not to the extent of talking every day.

A person I would enjoy talking to everyday would most likely be my friend Jamie. He is one who knows when to put on a serious face and is more of an encouraging friend. We can actually carry on a conversation about something that is needed. For instance, studying together or talking about goals we would like to accomplish in the future. Everyone needs someone to be there sometime in their life, whether it is a family member or a good friend.

My third type of friend is probably my favorite and I also enjoy hanging out with this person the most. I think I am partial to this friend the most because I’ve realized throughout my life that I am this friend and people like to be with others who are similar to themselves. I have a lot of friends that fall under this category, but one person stands out in my mind to be the best example. His name is Josh. We are so much alike and have so many of the same interests. Josh’s type of friendship brings pretty much the same qualities as the last two types, but just mixed together and more of it. We can joke about pretty much everything we see and do certain things that are really fun. Then again we can have serious conversations when we feel like it.

These are all friends I love to be with and they will probably always be there for me, with the exception of Paul. Other then that, we are so much different than one another and still get along almost every time we get together.
